A panel of beautifully painted birds on
branch nature study tiles the panel complete
with gilded and azure blue brambles on an
intense zaffer blue ground.
Verso perfectly clean, embossed Craven
Dunnill Jackfield.
No damage as such insofar as what tiny marks
there are to the rim are original and were
behind the frame of the serving tray in which
they resided, wear marks being a flake of green
lost from a lower leaf, wear to the gilding and
to the painting along the line where the glaze
has pooled.
