One of a series of twelve reintroduced (copied) around 1880 by Mintons owned by the scurrilous rogue Colin Campbell the original series having been made by Herbert Minton and perhaps his protégé Michael Hollins nearlt half a century earlier. It did not prove very popular, from the evidence that I have seen, in its earlier day so a poor design choice, one of many poor choices, by Mintons. Yet on its own having the added value of scarcity and with the nuances of intrigue not only attractive and decorative but a thoroughly interesting talking point. Verso very clean, embiossed Mintons etc.   Information Tiles For Sale Contacts Order Information
