Slight losses etc to the rim mostly around
bottom right corner. Style:
Geometric floral The design almost completely milquetoast, the
colour effortlessly inoffensive, it should have
been a popular pattern for nineteenth century
interior design for it blends easily and creates
a clean surface yet it is a rarity. The pattern number indicates a creation date
of around 1895 so a mile behind the curve, the
company was also embarking on the adventure of
Léon Solon embossed majolica tiles at the
time, those that made the public wake up and buy
and so much more popular than this kind of out
of date style. Yet it is a great design, just two decades
too late. Verso very clean, some clay loss, embossed
Mintons China Works etc, prointed pattern
number. This was originally installed in to a
Shaplamd & Petter washstand.
