Slender chip top right, few very tiny/minute rim
chips, a pinprick otherwise near perfect
surface. Style:
Aesthetic movement An excellent aesthetic movement design the
format more familiar in printed patterns. A lazy
sunflower lolls in a diagonal band across the
image the remainder filled with hatching but not
hatching as Jim knows it but a repeating Y
formation, finished with mottled green and brown
glazes. Having a thick and heavy red clay body
with Mintons typical grip but no name or any
other identification, it was made by Campbells
who supplied blanks to and made tiles for
Mintons, both companies having the same owner
Colin Minton Campbell. Verso clean, some smoke and rust stains.
