Small chip top right corner, two minute corner
chips otherwise perfect. • Style: Art
nouveau This is one of the great art nouveau tile
designs the flowers alive like flames reaching
out and filling the space. A victorian design
dating from 1898 but not often found as is the
way for bolder designs, just a few colourways
known this the best I have seen. Just this one
tile in reasonable condition remains two lesser
examples having been sold off on eBay. Verso stamped pattern number otherwise
unmarked.
