One minute chip, minute loses right edge, other
marks are manufacturing flaws Style: Floral A not oft found tile, a good full floral
design stencilled in slips with an impressed
lace pattern to the background which is similar
in appearance to Doulton and Slater's Patent. It
is an implementation of Marsden's Patent which
no doubt inspired Doulton & Slater to mimic
the effect in plastic clay. Likely made for
Wedgwood by Marsden. The peach colouring of the
flowers is quite unusual, it is a good colour
which seems to have been problematic in
underglaze painted or printed colours. Versos very clean, minor smoke stain,
embossed T or L, painted pattern number. Tiny glaze flake, one very tiny, three minute
chips, a pinprick. Very small glaze flake top edge, manufacturing
flaw top edge, half a dozen minute chips. Couple minute chips.
