Exceptional quality of modelling and pressing, crisp edges and perfect symmetry. Unmarked but characteristic of the output of the Leeds potteries likely Burmantoft's or Leeds Art Pottery. Combed grips suggesting made from plastic clay but the grips may have been incised in dust-pressed clay before firing, in any case an outstanding quality piece. Verso very clean, combed grips.
