Perhaps also made in eight inch versions for very similar are found occasionally. A curious series featuring birds in rather unusual and at times undignified poses, printed in brown and tinted in bright colours on strong buff clay bodies. Humour can often be seen in tile designs especially with animals, there's a series apprently of mischevious dogs and Lockett remarks that hunting scenes are often humorous, perhaps this series combines the two.
