A couple of tiny and a few minute rim chips,
surface near perfect. Style:
Egyptian A good geometric design in a blaze of colour
very similar to designs in Owen Jones' Grammar
of Ornament and on the sheet 'Egyptian No. 7'. A
little naive in the engraving, printing and
painting which matters little for the individual
elements are subsumed in to the overall pattern.
Rich and opulent in red, yellow, green and blue
almost primary colours, imagine a large area of
these. Wood named their designs mostly after writers
this being Byron. Rather unusual for the company
this is a thicker hearth quality tile. Verso very clean printed pattern name.
