Marble effect Hardly a scintillating tile but a context
piece, to go with all the highly decorative
tiles that have been preserved this a rather
mundane marble effect which would have been used
mostly for walls and not in fireplaces and
furniture from whence most tiles have been
preserved. This a very well preserved example
without any signs of being fixed or used. I'm
not a fan of marble effect tiles but would
certainly prefer this to some of the transfer
printed tile of the times designed for filling
large areas whch are best seen with the blur of
distance. Verso perfectly clean, embossed Minton
Hollins etc.
