Wear and tiny chips left and bottom edges, no
surface damage, perfectly clean and brilliantly
glazed. Style: 'Arts & Crafts movement
style' A good floral trellis design with alternating
flowers and foliage. Nice bold flowerheads and
lively leaves almost looks like they are blowing
in the wind. Arts & crafts one may call the
style but industrial in manufacture with a good
quality dust pressed clay body. Four glaze
colours and a very interesting selection being
yellows from very pale at near white to ark at
mid brown with bright yellow and golden yellow
between. We don't see many glazed tiles from Campbell,
mostly they did floor tiles and left wall tiles
to Mintons Ltd which was also owned by Colin
Campbell until his death in 1885. Verso slightly grubby, embossed England,
glaze painted pattern number.
