An unusual hand painted tile portraying
netting ducks at dawn or dusk from a coracle
style boat. Possibly oriental by the style of
dress but coracles were widely used on the River
Severn which passes throguh Jackfield where the
factory was located. Freely painted in a broad
stroke style in chocolate brown on a buff Craven
Dunnill blank.
A most interesting tile and great discussion
piece.
Tiny chip bottom edge, other minor marks to
the rim, very minor surface marks.
Verso rather grubby, Craven Dunnill
marks.
