Very tiny chip bottom right corner, few very
light surface marks, mostly on the triangles as
they are raised slightly from the rest of the tile.
perfectly clean and excellent brilliance in the
glazes. Style: Art nouveau An excellent art nouveau tile illustrating
fruit, an uncommon subject, natural colours and
brilliant glazes, this a particluraly unusual
colourway, most have white backgrounds and green
corners. Only three art nouveau designs with
triangles in the corners are known by us, one
each from Richards, Barratt and Ollivant, all of
similar layout but uniquely different, they make
an interesting group. Verso quite clean, embossed COV England,
painted pattern number.
