A few minor manufacturing flaws. Style:
Floral A bold floral design moulded in good relief
with a generous flower in a good deep turquoise.
Five colours in all with two different greens
for the leaves and the tan in the heart of the
flower on a pale honey background. This design
was probably originated around 1890 but
continued in production into the 1900s. It
appears in Stubbs & Hodgart's catalogue
shown in Lockett, many if not most of the tiles
therein were made by Boote. Versos standard Boote grid (confused with
Stubbs & Hodgart in Austwick) perfectly
clean being removed from furniture. Richer colours on this one even though from the
same set. A few minute rim chips, mark near bottom
is a glazing flaw. No damage, minor manufacturing flaws.
