And it's not that old either, it dates from post 1910 perhaps the 1920s, perhaps from war time when waste was discouraged. What is interesting about this is that the design originated with Alfred Meakin who Johnsons took over in 1907, it is rarely with Sherwin & Cotton marks who Johnsons took over in 1911,l they are few collections with an example with each makers' marks.
