A gorgeous full design with organic movement and impressed outline, preferable to raised outline as it is dark rather than light or even white. I've seen it maybe eight or ten times over the years in perhaps five colourways this in rich earth tones. The ground is tastefully mottled in blue and green, mottled backgrounds are very rare and add greatly to the overall effect and are difficult to execute. Cleveland was a tile maker of whom information is scarce, the company produce a high proportion of exceptional designs embossed and tubeline including a few copies of other great designs.
