I really like this, it is a great design, elegant and stylised with somewhat of a Glasgow style the flower petals although of spiral form remind of the Mackintosh Rose (I presume these are roses too as there are thorns on the stems) and the slender and erect nature of the stems.

The design uncommon, wish that I saw more of them, yet nevertheless more frequently found than most others of the 1920s. Whilst reported as being "circa 1906/1908" by an alleged tile expert it clearly dates from the 1920s both by the grip pattern and also by the pattern number. It is quite incredible how many errors appear in the literature solely because authors did not pay attention to pattern numbers which are one of the few things in tile research that are both clearly a matter of record and readily accessible with minimal study, still many prefer to pronounce their opinions rather than study.

Verso perfectly clean, embossed England and pattern number.
