Dutch A rare and sought after tile by collectors, a
very early example of the Dutch series by Carter
of Poole. The designs in this series are usually
found printed on dust-pressed 6" x 6" blanks
dating from the 1920s up until about 1950, this
one of the very earliest circa 1915. It is
entirely handmade with plastic clay body and
handpainted - freehand painted from the design
in the pattern book not following a printed,
pounced or traced outline. Verso perfectly clean, impressed Carter
