Only exceedingly mnor marks (spot near corner a
manufacturing flaw). Style: Art
nouveau A good four-repeat tile from this excellent
tile maker, in bright earth colours. Very early
for art nouveau tiles indeed I would say the
earliest pure art nouveau registered design
there being some earlier which are arts &
crafts to art nouveau especially Solon designs
from Mintons. Not seen so often, Godwin &
Hewitt's tiles were top quality and very pricey
typically double those from T & R Boote. Verso very clean just slight stain, embossed
England and registration number, painted pattern
number.
