Top corners trimmed for the original dry fixing,
a little roughness to the tip of the rim, perfect
surface. Style:
Butcher's shop sheep tile Not seen very often this early twentieth
century design for a butcher's shop. We are so
used to seeing the earlier William Wise tiles
from Mintons but similar tiles continued in use
well in to the twentieth century but tiles from
shops rarely are preserved due to the time
pressure of shop fitting work. In a nice warm
flow blue colouring contrating with the duller
indian blue of most nineteenth century
tiles. Verso very clean embossed England and printed
pattern number.
