Very tiny chip upper right edge, minute chip
bottom left corner, rubbing to the green nearby
where it has pooled surface otherwise perfect,
wonderfully clean and bright. Style: Art nouveau A fabulous eccentric art nouveau design,
quite a rarity, it took me 20 years of
collecting to add one to my collection and that
was via a swap not from the marketplace, this
the first we have offered for sale. Both
timeless and modern, what a combination! - it is
edwardian, looks 1920s art deco, reminds of
1960s pop art, and would be fitting in a
currently contemporary setting. Given the
colours one may think 1920s but such colours
were occassionally used in edwardian times and
this has a grip pattern suggesting edwardian,
some remotely similar designs were made by Corn
and Richards one of the latter being registered
in 1905 hence our dating. As rarely found one
takes it that they made a good few when
introduced and not many later. Verso perfectly clean, usual embossed
legend.
