Three tiny and, a couple of minute rim chips,
surface is near perfect and perfectly clean. Style: Aesthetic movement This is a rare tile. A well engraved and
prnted shoreline design on a really rare clay,
buff with brown speckles. Booths, noted for the
glaze that did not craze, rarely used the white
clay most prone to crazing rather they used a
light buff for the most part but also celadon
and light blue. This speckled clay is also very
durable and this a thicker hearth quality tile
so a substantial tile. The shoreline theme we seen on another
popular design with an identical layour but this
is rarely found and is a registered design. It
may have been the original design the source for
the plagarised example which seems to have been
made by several companies and may have been a
standard design available for a ceramic
printer. Verso very clean but slight smoke stain,
Booth's usual grip pattern and printed pattern
and registration numbers.
