A full depiction of gooseberries within three stylised borders each with corner motifs, this to my recollection is the only transfer printed tile featuring gooseberries. One of a series designed by John Windsor Bradburn for Minton, Hollins and with his distinctive style. Not a formal series as such although several were registered on the same day however they do have a sense of unity about them and would make a great collection or fitting. I can well imagne them in an aesthetic styled washstand or sideboard. Artist's mongram JB at the bottom of the circle.
