A rare tile of Dryburgh Abbey in Scotland, printed underglaze and coloured in overglaze enamels.

Originating in 1150 and occupying an important place in Scottish history (BBC history) the locale was popular with Sir Walter Scott who is buried in the ruins. No doubt he drew upon the ambience for inspiration in writing his historical novels.
